Operation Vet Shield(OVS) has been in operation for over 10 years and has increased in scope over the years. OVS was begun because many veterans have difficulty transitioning back into civilian life after military combat roles. Many veterans have also had to do many tours of duty as well and have great difficulty transitioning back into family, work, and civilian life in general.

OVS trains such individuals for this transition and growing challenge. Classes are led by veterans who have made the transition from military to work life as well. This program seeks employment from reputable firms willing to hire such veterans. OVS also provides transitional housing for veterans that are homeless while in the program and provides permanent housing for veterans that have completed the program and are now employed.
